My Work

A decade across food and fiber.

My Work

What held up commercially.

Supply Chain Resilience & Resource Innovation

I work with food and produce businesses on the energy, input, logistics, and packaging challenges sitting underneath their operational and commercial pressures. I find the partnership structure or financing model that makes change viable, and build the internal capability to see it through.

Waste → Energy
75,000t

As Sustainability and Environmental Manager at T&G Global, New Zealand's largest vertically integrated horticultural exporter, I structured a land for energy partnership converting organic waste into renewable biogas annually, permanently insulating the business from rising gas and carbon costs.

Verified Savings
2GWh

Led a multi site CAPEX program delivering verified energy savings across 16 sites in 12 months, by embedding ownership at the operational level so site managers tracked improvements themselves.

Plastic Units Removed
5.5M

Introduced New Zealand's first fiber based tomato punnets, navigating cool chain integrity, retailer specifications, and sustainability requirements, at no cost increase.

Shipping Emissions
30%

As Head of Sustainability at Zespri International, a four billion dollar global kiwifruit exporter, I commissioned a global feasibility study uncovering structural barriers across the value chain, led cross-functional leaders to validate a 30 percent emissions reduction, and catalyzed an Asia based shipping partner to invest in low emissions fuels within 12 months.

Sustainability-Linked Finance
NZ$180M

Designed and secured New Zealand's first Sustainability-Linked Loan in horticulture, structuring the interest rate against commitments the business needed to meet for retailers and regulators, and embedding sustainability performance into senior leader incentives.

Grower & Producer Activation

I design and deliver the tools, frameworks, and peer learning experiences that move producers, processors, and supply chain partners from awareness to investment. I start from a deep understanding of the operational and financial reality of the people closest to the work, and solve for that.

Industry Pathway
1st

Built the kiwifruit industry's first orchard electrification pathway and orchard level return-on-investment calculator at Zespri International, in partnership with Rewiring Aotearoa, shifting growers from skepticism to capital investment.

Capital Investment
Direct

Led the industry's first Sustainability Grower Tour, taking landowners and operational managers to visit producers in other sectors who had already made regenerative transitions, resulting in direct investment in new machinery and funding within months.

Of 350+ Organizations
88%

Co-designed and delivered XLabs, a structured cross sector program for businesses to diagnose root causes blocking circular and climate solutions, prototype interventions, and design pathways to implementation, with 88 percent of participating organizations implementing change within 12 months.

Global Recognition
1 of 48

XLabs was selected by SB COP30 as one of only 48 climate solutions worldwide, chosen from more than 600 submissions, and the only solution selected from Aotearoa New Zealand.

Where I Fit

Supply chain development, innovation, and program roles inside food businesses, distributors, and industry bodies, and consulting engagements where the commercial problem is clear but the industry, organization, or value chain is stuck.

Current Work

What I Am Working On.

Active collaborations and bodies of work I am leading or co-leading. Each asks me to find and activate leverage points in food and fiber systems.
